DCW's annual sports day on May 12th was a resounding success with great participation from both staff and students. The sun was shining the skies were blue and the emphasis of the day was on the "fun element”. There were a variety of novelty events which proved a great success, such as the “3 legged race”, the “spud and spoon”, “sack race”, “clothes relay” .
The 6th years went into battle with the teachers!! And while the teachers retained their previous winning form in the” clothes relay” it was the students who claimed victory in the obstacle course. The day concluded with a "friendly" soccer game between the teachers and final year students - it was a very enjoyable game and ended in a 1-0 victory for the staff.

Parents — the primary educators — and the school work in partnership, like an extension of the family. The school involves them as fully as possible in decisions about their daughter. Close links are maintained with home, indeed the philosophy and objectives of the school cannbot be achieved withouth the cooperation and support of parents/guardians.
